We love the voice feature which includes voice coaching, live tracking, and cheering – but if you prefer a quiet session it can be muted. The app is free and contains ads along with some in-app purchases.


If you’re the competitive type then this app is for you. Not only does it track your run, map your cycling route, and give feedback on your workout, it also allows you to challenge yourself or compete with other app users. The app is every cyclist’s dream as it gives you access to the largest road and trail network which allows you to discover new roads for your run or bike rides once the 5km distance is extended.

With over 600 different types of tracking activities, MapMyFitness tracks every workout, giving feedback and stats to improve performance. Customizable voice feedback, calorie counting, nutrition, diet planning, and weight tracking are also available. You can use routes to find nearby places to workout and save your favorite paths. The app is free with ads and in-app purchases. To avoid ads, you can opt to be a premium member, which will also unlock additional useful features within the app.

Calorie Counter lets you keep track of what you eat every day using a database of more than 6 million foods. It also allows you to add from over 350 exercises allowing you to see if you burned more calories than you consumed – very important when looking to lose weight. Goal setting and step counter are two more of the features on this app, which is free but contains ads and in-app purchases.

Just love it! The Nike training club app is free with no ads or in-app purchases and offers over 160 workouts focusing on endurance, mobility, or strength in three levels of difficulty – so there is something for everyone. You will also find focused exercises if you’re looking to train a specific area like abs or arms and keeps track of workouts to view progress. Lastly – the app layout and images are just so beautifully designed and laid out – we love!
