Guide To Exactly How Much Product You Should Be Using

Did you know that your on going beauty problems could be down to the actual serving size of product you are using?

When it comes to products, size actually does matter. Too much ends in being a waste, and too little could lead to beauty problems.

So how much product should we actually be using?

Take a look below at the serving guide you should when it comes to applying your daily products:

Shampoo and conditioner –

It turns out that we have been using far too much shampoo. According to expertise in the hair industry when it comes to shampoo we are only meant to use the amount of one blackberry. You should rub the product through your hands before applying it to your hair, when you do apply it to your hair you should concentrate on the roots.

When it comes to conditioner, the amount you use depends on how much hair you have. But a rough guide, is to start with the same amount of conditioner as you did shampoo. When applying concentrate on on mid lengths and the ends as these are normally the most damaged areas of the hair. If you apply conditioner closer to your roots your hair will look oilier quicker especially if you have fine hair.

Cleanser –

Cleansers all differ as they all contain different consistencies. It is recommended that you use no more than a hazelnut sized blob when it comes to cleansing your face. This is more than enough to massage around your face and will be easy enough to remove.

Serum and moisturiser –

For serum a raisin sized pump is recommended. Followed by a green-pea sized serving of moisturiser which is normally more than enough for the face and neck. When it comes to the serving size of your serum it is recommended you use a raisin.

Eye cream –

The skin around your yes is much thinner and much more delicate than the skin everywhere else on your face. It is crucial not to overdo it as you will block pores, as the area under your eyes has the most milla which are white bumps which form as a result of keratin build-up under the skin.

Therefore a serving as small as a grain of rice is enough per eye. Using too much eye cream can cause puffiness if the area absorbs too much product.

SPF –

When it comes to the amount of product you use when applying SPF it is extremely important. The face, neck and chest area needs at least one grape per body part. Remember to always apply sunscreen because the amount of sun cream that you apply could be the difference between sun protection and serious sun damage.

Body wash and lotion –

For body wash the recommended amount is a small tomato sizing. When it comes to lotion and moisturising the entire body it is recommended that an amount equal to the size of an orange segment be used for each area of the body.
