Bioderma was founded in France in 1977 on the revolutionary idea that “when skin suffers, we should use its natural biology to teach it to react, rather than treat it”. For Bioderma this means that a product should not take over your skin’s job, but should help your skin to do its job better. And thus their Dermatological Biology concept was born, and launched with the first non-detergent shampoo.
Today the Bioderma headquarters are located in Aix en Provence, with their dedicated laboratory for skincare research and development in Lyon. Having dramatically grown in popularity since their conception, the specialised dermatological range now encompasses full complement of skin and sun care products for all skin types.
Since opening their development lab in 2001, Bioderma has poured their resources into the constant development of new product lines and improvement of existing ranges, leading the way in skincare innovation. The company works together with research centres, scientists and dermatologists in order to produce and refine specialty skin care products designed for specific skin types.
