I’ve been using the Dove Deeply Nourishing Triple Moisture Serum Shower Gel for the past three weeks, and here’s my take on its benefits and drawbacks:
Benefits:
Compact and Travel-Friendly: The shower gel comes in a conveniently compact bottle, making it ideal for travel. It won’t take up much space in your toiletry bag.
Pleasant Fragrance: The fragrance is pleasant without being overpowering. It strikes a good balance, not leaving you with an overly strong or non-existent scent.
Softens the Skin: After just one shower, I noticed that my skin felt somewhat softer. It may not live up to the extreme hype, but it does provide some degree of moisturization.
Cons:
Limited Moisturization: The moisturizing effect, while noticeable, might not be as deep and long-lasting as expected. To maximize its benefits, I found that using lukewarm water and creating steam in the shower to open up my pores allowed the gel to penetrate better. However, it still falls short of delivering intense moisture, and I found that pairing it with a Dove lotion helped to achieve smoother and more nourished skin.
Lack of Lasting Fragrance: I anticipated the fragrance to linger on my skin after the shower, but unfortunately, it didn’t. If you enjoy a long-lasting scent, this might not be the best option.
In summary, the Dove Deeply Nourishing Triple Moisture Serum Shower Gel offers some benefits, including portability, a pleasant fragrance, and initial skin softening. However, it may not fully meet the high expectations in terms of deep moisturization and a lingering scent. To achieve optimal results, combining it with one of Dove Body Lotions may be necessary to seal in that moisture while the skin is still somewhat damp for softer, smoother, and less dry skin.
