Africa is many things, to many people, and South African women express their personalities boldly and never shy away from colour. Always Authentic – Unique – Real.

Just in time to celebrate the colour and vibrancy that Spring brings, Dove deodorant has partnered with Rich Factory to design a bespoke Dove fabric with a unique print to celebrate colour in a cosmopolitan yet authentically African way – to demonstrate the effectiveness of Dove Invisible Dry which is proven to leave no white marks on 100 colours. The celebrated African fashion designer, Rina Chunga-Kutama of Ri.Ch Factory created a FABRIC and DRESS for their #100coloursofafrica campaign. The campaign is about celebrating colour because as African women it isn’t all about black and white. “We like to wear bright colours and I mean we all know I am obsessed with color and print. This dress worn by Nomzano was the amazing end result.“ – Rina Chunga-Kutama of Ri.Ch Factory.

Using the iconic ‘Mud Cloth’ or Bogolanfini print from Mali as inspiration, Chunga-Kutama has described her creative process as “choosing to pay homage to one of the oldest civilizations in the world,” adding that “women all over the continent are re-imagining what beauty means in an African context”. Throughout the design process, Dove Invisible Dry was put to the ultimate test on the bespoke print created by Ri.Ch Factory. The print is bright, bold and colorful which further expresses the importance of using Dove Invisible Dry to ensure that care is taken while handling the delicate fabric.

Widely acclaimed actress and media personality Nomzamo Mbatha, who frequently adorns Ri.Ch Factory garments, revealed the showstopper dress at the AFI show, which brought together a wide range of tastes, designs and styles from across the continent and globe at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg.

By liberating women to wear more of their favourite colours, Dove wants women to be more confident and empowered.
