Top 6 Films to Watch in Isolation
So, we’re back to Level 4. With the rules being stricter for the next 14 days (at least), we’re all being encouraged to stay at home as much as we possibly can which might feel a little scary for some of us. The previous lockdown was hard and often lonely, and going back into something similar can be daunting. One of our saving graces is sitting down on the couch, curling up with a blanket and indulging in a good comfort movie. Here are some of our fave classics!
Clueless
This classic film is famous for good reason. Following the story of a popular and very fashionable high school student trying to navigate teenage life, this film has loads of iconic lines and even a little romance.
Easy A
Following college student Olive, Easy A explores the concept of sexuality, virginity and the nature of rumours in an intelligent but super entertaining way. When she lies to her best friend about losing her virginity, a rumour about her spreads like wildfire and changes her reputation.
13 Going on 30
We absolutely love anything with Jenifer Garner in it, and this movie is one of her best. When a 13 year old girl makes a wish to grow up on her birthday, she wakes up the next day as a successful 30 year old and reconnects with a lost love.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Everybody went absolutely crazy for this 2018 film, and for good reason. When a teenage girl’s love letters to all of her crushes get leaked, chaos ensues.
Mama Mia
We don’t think there’s anyone that hasn’t seen or at least listened to the soundtrack of this film, but it’s always worth watching again. One of the best comfort movies of all time, Mama Mia follows the engaged Sophie who tries to find her father by inviting three potential candidates to her wedding. A beautiful story of a mother-daughter relationship as well as a great musical romance, Mama Mia is one of those films that you’ll never get sick of.
Never Been Kissed
Drew Barrymore is another iconic actress that we absolutely adore, and this is arguably one of her best performances. An undercover journalist attends a high school to report on student life and finds it hard to fit in, being thrown back to her highschool years and experiencing them all over again.
Give these films a watch when you’re feeling bored and need a little pick me up. Remember to take care of yourself and your mental health during these crazy times and stay safe. We’ll all get through this together!

13 going on 30 is still my fave 😍
I love Mamma Mia too. Easy A is also excellent, but Olive is in high school not college, which makes a lot more sense with the plot.
