We all have them, so why don’t we always feel comfortable talking about them? Let your #Wombstories be heard!
We want to encourage an open culture where everyone can express what they go through without fearing they won’t be properly heard/ believed and without feeling shame that they are somehow less than what they were taught to be.
The pleasure, the pain, the love, the hate. It’s never simple but it all needs to be heard. Keeping it in or leaving it unheard comes at an emotional and physical cost both at an individual and collective level.
Sharing yours can be fun and freeing. Not only that, the more we talk, the more we encourage others to do the same. The unseen, unspoken, unknown stories of our periods, our #wombstories, are so much more complex and profound!

Hey Rubies🌼
I have Always had a heavy flow during my cycle. It would be really bad and lasted for a full weak without any changes. I would suffer from anxiety because I would have to change my pad thrice in an hour and the pads was not comfortable or reliable. Fast forward to last year when I gave birth to my son. I thought that my flow and cycle would become regular but that was not the case. I suffer from extreme heavy flow and pain. My period is irregular and unpredictable but because I made a change in brands, my anxiety has decreased tremendously. I am noticably more confident and having a curious little boy, I can be active and the pad will stay put. The changes I have gone through has dampened my confidence but having a reliable pad such as Libresse Ultra makes dealing with everyday life a lot Easier.

Hey Ladies,
So ever since I started on my period, I have had a proper flow with little to no period pains. Last year July, everything took a left turn. I started feeling pain by my uterus area for almost 3 days and then decided to go to the clinic. When I got there, the nurse was not sure what was wrong with me and so she referred me to the hospital to have an ultra sound to see what the problem was.
I went to the hospital the next day and they immediately assumed it was appendicitis and it had nothing to do my private area. Fast forward, I had an operation and they did not find a problem with my appendix but they noticed I had polycystic ovaries (no negative implications though) which I only found out after the surgery. All I needed were antibiotics and now I am left with a scar which I am still learning to wear proudly.

My #Wombstory started when i was 13 years old and got lady red visiting me for the 1st time. I have allways had very heavy periods. It would knock me to my bed for days making me miss school. When i fell pregnant with my 1st child it ended in a missed carriage and when they conducted an ultrasound my guynae found that i ovulate irregularly so falling pregnant would be a task. I was still suffering from heavy irregular periods. And skipping it months on end meant it came back worse as ever. By the grace of the almighty i had fallen pregnant twice after my miscarriage and have a healthy daughter and son. However in 2015 i started with acne and facial hair. Mood swings depression i became overweight and i was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian syndrome. I battle with the symptoms more today than before. It’s getting worse and i wish that more people were clued up on it. Im glad thougjh that i had my children at an early age because falling pregnant now is near to impossible. I am hopeful that more people and medical practitioners will become more informed on PCOS and help us to fight it. PCOS has taken the confidence out of my life. And this is my womb story #rubyboxLibresse #LibresseUltraPads #LiveFearless #Wombstories #NormalisePeriods
My wombstory journey was one of a kind, from an extreme morning sickness to craving eggs and pizza and graduating while pregnant with my son.
I couldn’t wait to meet him. As the third trimester was nearing towards the end, I began anticipating the big day but the due date the Doctor had prophesied came and went. Baby boy had no plans of coming out.
As a first time clueless mom to-be, when my mucus plug came out, my heart started pounding. There I was packing my hospital bag, calling the ambulance and after the tedious hospital administration, I was admitted.
I remember wondering why other women panicked because I was not in any pain like I had expected and definitely not how I’ve been told it’s going to be. Lol! I was not even a centimetre dilated so I was discharged and asked to come back when my water broke.
3 days later I saw flames! I was in this excruciating pain. Nobody had fully warned me about the annoying poking that takes place in order to know how far dilated you are. Let alone that fetal heart rate monitoring strap! I think it was purely invented to torture women in labour.
I could write a book about my #wombstory but let’s just say, after being convinced not to push my baby out on the freeway – a drug free labour, feeling every pain tenfold and an episiotomy later, my prince was born. Healthy and lucky to be alive after the umblical cord was tied around his neck 🤍

My wombstory had become the worse thing ever, I had my first child at 17 in 1994 and the second one in 1997. In 2002 I got married, tried having babies since then but with no luck. I have developed period pains that are terrible, I have had countless miscarriages but the surprising part is that the doctors see nothing wrong with my womd and what could be the cause of miscarriages.
I am 44 this year and still hoping to have at least one more child. I have tried almost every single thing that is guaranteed to help but nothing helps 😭😭 my worry is that I am getting old now
In 2011, after a night of cat and mouse in the bedroom🥴, I experienced the ABSOLUTE WORST pain I have ever experienced in MY LIFE. I thought, let me take some painkillers and sleep it off. The next morning, I was 10 turns worse, couldn’t sit, walk nor eat. My tummy started inflating and I looked roughly 7 months pregnant. I was rushed to causality with my lovely father by my side. The nurse wasn’t so kind 🤣. She gave me a long speech about the number of girls that hide their pregnancies from their parents and when birthing pains begin, they make their unsuspecting parents tag along for the Doctors to drop the bomb. I explained that I wasn’t pregnant (now Dad is giving me the dirtiest side eye). I had a urine test done and blood test
to determine my secret pregnancy. All came back negative. I was then ushered into an ultrasound; no baby. FINALLY the Doctor comes out with it, “ah , you have ovarian cysts the size of oranges. Some have ruptured unfortunately, which could explain why your tummy is so bloated”. i saw my Dad sigh in relief.
I was given an option to operate to remove the remaining ones. I declined. Then the story came about a possibility that I may not have kids. I mean, I was a 23 year old with no kids, how? 4 days later, I left the hospital and have been on different contraceptives ever since. The pill works perfectly for me. I also have a healthy 3 year old daughter who came at a time where I was soooo fed up with taking pills every day, the mood swings, the weight gain then loss. I simply stopped taking them Feb 2017 and fell pregnant March 2017. I took myself right back to those pills.🤣

Hello ladies, my #Wombstories started when I fell pregnant the first time 9 years ago, due to complications, I had a C-Section and my period was heavy and painful after the birth of my daughter. I fell pregnant again in 2014 with another daughter and again had a C-Section due to complications.. My cycle was never normal after that. I had heavy and painful bleeding for days and I must admit that Libresse has given me the confidence to be at work during my cycle. Going about my daily routine without delays. #rubyboxLibresse #LibresseUltraPads #LiveFearless #Wombstories #NormalisePeriod
