BEAUTORIAL: Ombre Nails

We’re working the ombre hair trend, but this fade-into-fabulous style works even better on your nails!
Cute, creative and oh so customised, you too can rock this look by following our step-by-step beautorial.

GET THE LOOK

Step 1 Prep your nails with a two-in-one cuticle remover and moisturiser like Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Cuticle Eraser + Balm. Select two nail polish shades – complementary or clashing, it’s your call!

Step 2 Start with a clear base coat, and follow with a coat of the lighter nail polish shade. For longer, stronger nails, we used Sally Hansen Max Growth Daily Nail Treatment.

Step 3 Paint a centimetre-sized block of each nail colour next to one another on a makeup sponge, ensuring the colours overlap slightly.

Step 4 Check the positioning and then lightly dab the sponge directly on to your nail, gently moving it up and down.

Step 5 Soak a cotton bud in nail polish remover and clean up the excess nail colour around your fingertips.

Step 6 Seal your ombre nail art with salon-finish shine with a quick-drying top coat like Essie Good to Go.

Step 7 Admire your handiwork!
