10 Step Korean Skincare Routine

Have you ever wondered why Korean women have some of the most beautiful skin in the world?

It may sound extensive, but most Korean women use a 10-step skincare routine each and every day to help keep their skin looking healthy and beautiful.

These are their key steps for radiant skin:

Step One: Oil Cleanser

Oil cleansers are the base of the Korean skin care routine they don’t only remove your makeup and draw out other impurities but removes sebum dirt which has either accumulated during the day or at night.

Step Two: Wash with water

Once you have used the oil cleanser rinse your face with only water. This hydrates the skin as well as removes any impurities which may have developed over night.

Step Three: Exfoliator

Exfoliating is key as it helps clean pores and gets rid of dead skin cells for a visibly brighter and smoother surface.

Step Four: Toner

To prevent the skin from becoming dry and dehydrated wipe down with a toner to restore and balance the skins pH levels. We recommend the Korean Klairs Toner, click here to purchase yours.

Step Five: Essence

Essence is the in between a toner and a serum. It helps give the skin a youthful glow. We would recommend the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence for optimal results, click here to purchase yours.

Step Six: Sheet Mask

The sheet mask is a Korean beauty favourite – a cloth saturated with skin loving ingredients! Perfect for all skin types, everyone can benefit from these masks which deliver a deeply hydrating and anti-ageing treatment.

Step Seven: Serum

Now finally for the real deal! SERUM! Serums target specific skin concerns like wrinkles, dark spots, and dehydration. We would recommend the Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum, to purchase yours click here.

Step Eight: Eye Cream

Smooth a light eye cream across both the brow and socket bone moving from the inner to outer corner of the eye. Here, the skin is at its thinnest as there are no sebaceous glands to produce natural oils, so it’s important to keep this area hydrated and protected all day long.

Step Nine: Moisturiser

Next apply a soothing moisturiser in a light layer across the skin for long lasting all-day hydration.

Step Ten: Sleeping Mask (evening regime) or Sunscreen (daily regime)

A sleeping mask is a face mask you sleep with and only rinse off in the morning, this allows the skin a full 12 hours of hydration.

Applying sunscreen shouldn’t be reserved for the summer holidays. Protecting the skin on a daily basis from UV rays will avoid the development of dark spots, wrinkles and fine lines.
