1.    Frankincense Essential Oil

The three wise men were certainly onto something here ; ) (Just kidding)

This oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits to the skin, making it the perfect choice for acne-prone skin.

Run out of toner? No need to worry, it is also a natural toner - shrinking the visibility of pores and evening out your skin-tone.

It’s cytophylactic, which is a fancy word for “it assists to protect existing cells and encourage new cell growth”.

Other benefits include facilitating the reduction of wrinkles and reducing the appearance of blemishes and scars.

2.    Geranium Essential Oil

This oil smells gorgeous and helps control oil production! Great for reducing acne breakouts, it aids in the improvement of  skin elasticity and tightens the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It also encourages blood circulation to the areas where it is applied, helping to repair bruised skin and other skin conditions.

3.    Carrot seed essential oil

This amazing oil has a renewing effect on your skin. It not only works to help smooth-out your complexion, but assists with cell rejuvenation. For this reason, it can help to diminish scaring and improve the tone of aging skin.

FYI – it also smells amazing and can assist you in relaxing, helping your body adapt to stress and tension.

4.    Myrrh Essential Oil

This miracle oil has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and helps to improve skin tone and firmness. Focusing on your skins elasticity – it reduces the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. Yay!

5.    Neroli Essential Oil

Great for oily, sensitive, and mature skin, useful for stretch mark reduction - this baby does it all!

It helps to smooth fine lines and tone sagging skin. This rejuvenating oil contains a natural chemical called citral, an amazing chemical that "helps regenerate cells". For this reason, it is said to be very good at preventing stretch marks - who knew?.

Its antiseptic properties also control oil production and help to shrink the visibility of pores without dehydrating the skin.

6.    Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

This is one of our favorite essential oils at rubybox because of its divine floral fragrance. It helps to assist in oil production and in minimizing breakouts. It also helps to rejuvenate skin cells and improves skin elasticity.

7.    Patchouli Essential Oil

This oil is great for more mature skin.  It promotes new cell growth and smooths the appearance of wrinkles. Because it also has anti-fungal  and antibacterial properties, it can also benefit skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and acne, a problem many of us suffer with.

8.    Rose Essential Oil

Used for centuries, this oil is especially great for dry or aging skin. Researchers have found that it contains several therapeutic compounds known to promote healing, especially antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory compounds. As a result, rose essential oil helps refine skin texture and tone, and can be helpful with managing skin conditions such as psoriasis and dermatitis. Interestingly, one study even found that inhaling rose essential oil inhibits water loss in the skin and lowers the concentration of the stress hormone cortisol in the body (stress has a profound impact on your skin!).

9.    Tea Tree Essential Oil

This oil is one of the more renowned essential oils for acne-prone skin. Its antibacterial properties help deter acne-causing bacteria from entering the skins pores. It also helps to control oil production.
