A new year a new me, is often the phrase used by many. We all have an idea of how we want our year to pan out, but lets be honest we’ve all made New Year’s resolutions that we’ve quickly broken.

So with 2020 in full swing, we only thought it would be fitting to share some achievable new year's resolutions with you.

Build a better budget

If there is one New Year's resolution that you will appreciate in the long run, it is saving money. All that matters is that each month you put a little something away for a rainy day, it doesn't matter the amount - trust, you will thank us later.

Read more books

We would suggest that you aim for reading one book a month. This also allows you for some quite time during the hustle and bustle that lies ahead.

Drink less alcohol

You already know how fun you are, so why not make this year the one you cut back a little. This will not only improve your immune system but it will improve your mood, sleep and your skin. Plus this is a massive money saver.

Eat your veggies

Whether you are looking to drop some weight or just staying healthy, vegetables are a must with every meal in 2020.

Take the stairs

Take the stairs where ever you can instead of the lift, this will not only improve your fitness levels but according to recent studies women who climbed stairs for 10 minutes a day got a bigger energy boost than those who had caffeine equivalent to a can of cold drink or half a cup of coffee.

Drink up

We all know how important it is to stay hydrated, but it is especially important to hydrate the day after a short nights sleep. The reason being, because the hormone which regulates your body's water conservation is only released in later stages of sleep. So down some extra water on days you have not gotten enough Z's..

Give yourself more compliments

Positive self-talk can help you focus on what's good in your life, leaving you feeling happier and self-satisfied. Give it a try!

These are some of the resolutions that will be circling around the rubybox HQ this year, let us know what your 2020 resolutions are.
